False Bay Great White Shark Cage Diving is a must if you are seeking the ultimate adrenaline rush!

Witness a Great White Shark surface with such force and explosive energy that it can propel itself clean out of the water. It's an absolutely spectacular sight that you will never forget!

Then take the plunge and sink below the water to view these amazing animals in their own natural environment.  Watch them glide by the cage coming in so close that they are almost within arm's reach of the cage.

Seal Island is where all the Shark Cage Diving & Surface Viewing takes place and is well known around the globe for the many shark documentaries filmed here.

Don't forget to bring your camera as there is plenty of photo opportunities from above and below.

Trips are run 7 days a week and are strictly weather dependent and subject to availability. Make sure you book your trip well in advance to secure a place on the boat as spaces are extremely limited.

Afternoon Trips are run from March to mid September

Shark Sightings Update

Great White Shark sightings are unpredictable and cannot be guaranteed. We are currently seeing Copper Sharks (also known as Bronze Whaler Sharks), Cape Fur Seals and the occasional stingray.

Find out more about the Trip

About the Trip:

You start the day by meeting at the Simon's Town Pier where you will be met by the crew.

Once on board you'll receive a boat safety briefing, a short introduction on the Great White Shark activity and what you can expect with regards to the Cage Dive.

The Cage Dive:

The crew will then anchor the boat, drop the cage into the water and start chumming to get the sharks closer to the boat. Guests will then be allowed in the cage if they wish (2 - 3 at a time) with each diver having approximately 20-30 minutes underwater with these magnificent creatures. This is dependent on shark activity.
